The intermediate goalkeeper clinic is typically comprised of advanced 6,7, 8th grade goalkeepers, and freshman bound keepers that need technical reinforcement, or younger keepers that are technically sound and can train with older stronger players. Clinic will revisit the technical needs of goalkeepers to sharpen technical skills and introduce elements of decision making through game situations. More detailed instruction in terms of handling, positioning, footwork, collapse and grass cutter saves, deflecting vs. catching, high balls, breakaways, and communication. Keeperstop.com reinforce the importance of accountability while in goal as well as teach important leadership skills. Please contact keeperstop.com with questions regarding the level of your goalkeeper. It is important to challenge each keeper but it is more important to build confidence and ensure the safety of each goalkeeper.
